Are People Like This Teaching Your Kids?
Absolutely disgusting that this man was allowed near students.
A school board district member in Arkansas who came under fire for an anti-gay post on a social networking site regrets the comments and will resign his seat, he told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Thursday.
"I'm sorry I've hurt people with my comments," Clint McCance, vice-president of the Midland School District in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas said. "I'm sorry I made those ignorant comments and hurt people on a broad spectrum."
McCance wrote on his personal Facebook page that he wanted gay people to commit suicide, according to The Advocate, a newspaper focusing on gay news.

Hey, genius. He wasn't teaching kids. He was a school board member, an elected position. Not that this excuses his actions but it isn't necessary for you to sensationalize a story that has it's own legs. What you should be talking about is how a person on a school board should maintain some objectivity and how their overriding concern should be about the welfare of ALL students. Use your power to inform and properly educate not to create more sensation. You have a responsibility as well.
