News research revealed that eleven per cent of UK adults have admitted to sleeping with someone they met on Facebook.

And just like shamed celebrities Jason Manford and Vernon Kay, nearly half have sent illicit text messages to somebody other that their partner.

The findings emerged in a survey of 2,000 adults for TV show 'Sex Rehab' which launches tonight on UKTV.

A poll found that 46 per cent of those surveyed admitted sending naughty text messages to pals.

• 14 million Brits have had sex outdoors

The survey also found that three out of ten people also watch porn online by themselves, with another one in six doing so with their partner.

More than half also admitted they have had a one night stand, with the average adult having a least one tryst with a stranger in the last six months.

The results showed that Brits have sex on average 6,552 times in their life - twice a week - with each session lasting around 20 minutes.

It claimed that 14 million have had sex outdoors - with a third admitted to doing it in a shopping centre or toilets.

A further one in ten had sex at work with a colleague while one in twenty even admitted to making love in the back row of the cinema.

And an adventurous one in five people surveyed said they had made their own sex tape.
